Worst. Job. Ever.

Pros

Good products, discounts, preferred pricing for golfing. Nice campus.

Cons

Heavy job turnover. Terrible management. More concerned with apprearances and meetings than getting actual work done. I read some negative reviews here before I started and figured "oh it can't be that bad." I should have heeded their warnings! Worst job I've ever had. Avoid at all costs.

In the Downward Spiral

Pros

- Employee discount for all golf brands as well as adidas and Reebok equipment and apparel. - Lots of great coworkers, outside of the executive suite and VP/Director level.

Cons

- On average, salaries pay 30-40% less than market value for roles below the Director level. - Complete absence of a strategic business plan. Company goals are never greater than 12 months and since 2013 short term "success" (sales) has lead to long term disaster. - New hires in "leadership" positions (Director level and above) are almost always someone who worked at TaylorMade previously. Executives, VPs and Directors tend to hire and promote employees who share the same, antiquated beliefs on how to operate a golf equipment business and new approaches or processes are often met with strong resistance. - Layoffs have been regular since 2014 but the vast majority of those affected have been below the Director level. Each round of cuts has not met the expected level of cost savings since the "good ol' boys" club keeps looking out for one another (which has led to more layoffs). - Upper management drives a culture of sales that continues to erode margin and the bottom line. "Sell more" is the only solution to every business problem and they have failed to recognize how the marketing approach no longer resonates with consumers.

Pros

Certainly not the upper management or some of the snarky executive assistants... Casual attire, the office is mostly empty on Fridays, healthy cafe, employee discount on merchandise.

Cons

No stability due to lack of direction from the top. The C-level likes to play musical chairs and revolving doors. Diva mentality with some of the executives. Interoffice affairs and so much more...
