Pros

I loved that I learned so much about tea. The education aspect it just great. The benefits are inexpensive and comprehensive. When the right staff is together, the sales process can be a lot of fun. Room to grow.

Cons

Very stressful work environment. There are sales goals and requirements, which I actually enjoy. However, some levels of management can be excessively cruel when dealing with employees. Coorporate office is disorganized in that they don't seem to have a good grasp on getting their regional and area managers in line with policy. The pay is too low to be reasonable. There is a lot of training that goes in to this job, and it isn't an easy job. The compensation does not reflect that.

Pros

30% off discount, Starbucks benefits (free lb of coffee weekly), Full-time management accrues PTO, ability to bonus, when the dynamic is right this is a job that can attract some very fun and intelligent people.

Cons

As of late the training is very spotty and not at all useful which makes it difficult for all but seasoned employees to make their monthly bonus, upper management (area managers/regional director) is unfocused at best and completely unresponsive at worst, promotions are given to favorites instead of to the best-qualified candidates. Most of all, the company has completely lost the ability to retain good people because of an unwillingness to give competitive wages for the amount of stress/work that the job requires.
