Pros

Good discount on tea and merchandise, 40% to be exact and free drinks. Also, they are willing to work around your schedule. Teavana is also striving to be listed as one of the top 100 places to work.

Cons

They want you to be pushy with selling the tea and merchandise. I have to offer things five times using the "five times rule", I feel like I'm pouncing and stalking customers, and dont even get me started on the sample cart "Try some delicious tea!" "Try some refreshing tea!" They say you have to do ten minute rotations at the sample cart, but I have been stuck on that cart for way too long.

Pros

I had some very hard-working co-workers there. The company is growing rapidly, so job security is good compared to other companies. Good employee discount.

Cons

No opportunity for advancement at the DC. Also lots of office politics and double standards there. Too many restrictions on personal time - ridiculously long black-out period for vacation time. Break times are not fairly instituted. Company as a whole is pretty full of itself. Product is all about the packaging and is grossly overpriced. Management does a poor job of communicating and makes lots of assumptions.

Pros

all the tea you can drink for free while on your shift pay is better than min.wage learn a bit about tea and tea merchandise

Cons

Be warned that this is a heavily sales oriented process. The bonus system supports this, as yes there is a commission, but you only get it if you make a certain sales/hour. Customers are often mislead into buying things they do not need nor want. Aggressive sales process is putting it lightly.
