Free tea to drink while you work Lots of communication between other stores At times feels like a family

Cons

Sales come before everything. There is no integrity left at teavana. The sales process continues to change and contradict what employees had learned about the product previously. Area managers are not mature enough to handle multiple stores. Micro managing is a favorite of teavana. There are managers who still work for teavana that are an HR disaster, however they continue to make lots of money for the company, so they are not let go. Managers manipulate employees and lie to them.

Cons

-Poor senior leadership (under qualified) -100% Sales Driven (at all costs - including sacrificing employees' needs and the brand's integrity) -Unreasonable expectations - things like "double our growth this year" are commonplace sayings

Teavana can be an amazing place to work for, if you are willing to accept their policies and sales techniques. Great benefits, amazing growth opportunities, and decent pay.

Cons

This is not a typical retail shop. Sales are your focus, not cashiering or letting customers wander around the store. If you are uncomfortable with difficult customers and a rigid sales process, this is not the place for you
