For Learning TechM is quite good but in terms of salary standards and HR policies it is really ridiculous.

Pros

I cannot say good environment as pros because it is totally depend on which project you get into, who is your manager, how are your teammates, then only you could decide office culture. But for me, it turned as good. Though our superiors are dull, not willing to bring changes, just obey clients orders blindly.

Cons

- Ridiculous HR Policies. - Appraisal is joke - Salary discrimination is extreme.

Pros

1)Lots of projects 2)Trainings (esp in Avanade) are good.Good chance to learn new Microsoft skills. 3)Flexible work timings(Though varies from project to project) 4)Direct Client exposure 5)More accountability and Responsibility to work.It provides a greater path to take more initiatives in technical area. 6)Managers do have technical bent of mind and understand the system.

Cons

1)Screwed up Appraisal process.Appraisal greatly depends on the current project the time of Appraisal where little importance given to previous feedbacks. 2)Client is God over here so a little bad feedback from client can screw up your whole appraisal and promotion. 3)Pay discrimination with laterals. 4)Managers are only technical no leadership skills.
