Thank you for your feedback. TechSoup’s customer service department offers a welcoming, warm, and cohesive environment. While TechSoup values temporary, short and long-term employees, there are occasions when it’s necessary to bring in new staff members with skills that don’t currently exist in our organization. On those occasions, we leverage this expertise to help upgrade and enhance the skills of existing staff to prepare them for advancement. We are committed to making TechSoup a positive, fulfilling place to work!

Pros

I have been working at TechSoup full-time as a Senior Director for more than 5 years. Many committed colleagues and an organization which in the past added much value to the nonprofit sector.

Cons

Poor cross-functional communication and leadership. Lack of well-defined strategic direction with a CEO that micro-manage everything in the organization.

Lots of opportunity for growth

Pros

TechSoup employees often have the ability to follow their passions and touch different aspects of the organization. It's nice to come to work every day knowing that your organization is impacting nonprofit organizations all over the world and allowing them to better meet their missions. In the time that I've been at TechSoup, I've had formal and informal mentors that have been very supportive and showed they care about my professional development and personal well-being. Our People & Culture department is working hard to provide opportunities for people in the organization to feel heard.

Cons

There don't seem to be a low of mid-management positions, which can be discouraging for less experienced hires looking to move up in the organization. I've seen a lot of decision-making get bottlenecked, because most decisions need senior level, often CEO, approval.
