- Some interesting projects - Passionate people and co-workers that are fun to hang out with - Comfortable offices, though that depends on department - Decent entryway into the industry, though further development opportunity is rather meager
Cons
- Nepotism - Management often does not do necessary research before committing to an idea - Low salaries when compared to the market - Micro-management by higher executives - Lack of motivation incentives and clear bonus structure. I've worked in a department that was never awarded during over three years of work - Management/meeting overhead getting in the way of actually doing development work - General lack of company-wide employee retention initiatives. Some people are deemed 'expendable' in the bigger company picture
