      Pros

      There are interesting projects (mostly very applied and less research) that one can get practical hands on experience.

      Cons

      Always scary not having funding and charging to over-head. Company relies heavily on the DoD sector. Specifically, it relies a lot of times on the bread crumbs from bigger companies (e.g. LM). So like all DoD small companies, it has a cyclical ups and downs. Also, probably very hard to get an upper-management position.

      Pros

      Company is employee owned through stock not publicly traded. Great benefits, Lots of quality employees, more leave time than many companies. They tend to hire professionals who can hit the ground running without a lot of management. No micromanagement here. Keep the customers happy and they'll keep you happy.

      Cons

      Not for someone looking for entry level or a defined management career path type position. You will work on the task you were hired to do.
