Toxic culture and incompetent leadership

Some truly wonderful and well-meaning colleagues who are doing their very best each day despite the odds being stacked against them.

Cons

Getting weekly emails of colleagues departing, either voluntarily or involuntarily, along with emails about re-orgs almost just as often. Few of those positions are backfilled and those that are have more work in an even more chaotic environment with a lower title and less pay. Because of all the turnover, people who aren't qualified are then promoted into leadership positions, and then throw their teams under the bus when they fail. This company personifies the "This is Fine" meme with the dog at the table smiling when everything is on fire around him.

Friendly atmosphere but frequent layoffs affect stability

Generally a friendly place to work with flexible work arrangements.

Cons

Company is frequently reducing it's headcount to stay above water. Software engineering org is very senior heavy, there are almost no juniors. This means that seniors often don't get opportunities to lead projects which makes it very difficult to get promoted.

Work from home benefits overshadowed by declining toxic culture

Work from home, decent compensation, decent work life balance.

Cons

Culture and overall morale heading towards toxic levels, constant layoffs, declining quality of leadership and accountability, lack of mature SDLC process, pullback on benefits from previous years. Prior to the Livongo merger Teladoc was a wonderful and special place to work. Things began to decline quickly after the merger and never recovered. My rating and review reflects the current state not the past state.
