Pros

- Everyone who works here is smart, which I value - Clients include some of the world's largest companies - Consulting projects are challenging and rewarding - Flexible / remote work allowed - Monthly retainer model (vs. hourly) encourages collaboration with clients - I've met some of my very best friends here (recently rejoined the company after working here for several years previously)

Cons

- None noted; only one that may be a con - depending on the person - is if you aren't comfortable working in a fast-paced environment; I personally thrive in one

Pros

Teneo is a rapidly growing advisory firm that aims to serve the most urgent strategic needs of a broad range of clients hailing from the Fortune 500 and beyond. What this means from a day-to-day standpoint is that at any given moment, you have the opportunity to work on multiple teams servicing multiple clients, each of which is facing its own set of unique business challenges that require the strategic advisory or consultancy of Teneo. The learning opportunity, client exposure, and the chance to work alongside talented and motivated colleagues are several attractive qualities that a role at Teneo can offer. The company's culture is entrepreneurial and collaborative. Leadership encourages a flat organization where colleagues check their egos at the door and do their best work to help their clients as well as one another. Leadership appears to genuinely value employee feedback and has a reputation of quickly advancing star employees. The company is eight years old (as of 2019) and is growing quickly: it has attracted not only a diverse "blue chip" client base, but also a number of talented investors and professionals that have previously worked at larger IR/consulting firms or investment banks, but who now wish to be part of an organization that is hiring for growth and is relatively unencumbered by bureaucracy that is more typical of larger corporations. I noticed that the tone of some of the earlier reviews contrasts meaningfully from the more recent reviews. It is my belief that the company is more institutionalized today in many respects, ranging from hiring to onboarding to the actual work experience, while still maintaining the entrepreneurial spirit that is characteristic of a company that appears to still be in its early innings of growth.

Cons

This is not necessarily a "con" in the traditional sense, but some people might point out that the company is much younger than a number of incumbent competitors. While there are certain things such as best practices and knowledge sharing that will simply require more time in order to crystallize, one could just as easily argue that from a more positive standpoint, Teneo has a growth mindset and an entrepreneurial spirit that a more entrenched company might not be able to replicate -- and for these reasons, Teneo already has a demonstrated track record of attracting, retaining, and cultivating young talent within its organization.

Pros

None that I could see

Cons

Thinly resourced, lack of career direction and development, disorganized and understaffed. Resembles a start-up.
