      proud of work, need more compensation

      Can take time off if needed, fairly good benefits, usually low lay off worries

      Cons

      no raises in years, most career employee are thousand of dollars behind in salary compared to same work in private sector, no merit raises for good employees, Because raises are across the board there is no reason for sub par employees to improve work ethics

      Pros

      The State of TN is a good place to work. We have very good benfits, we cna build up our sick and annual days. You feel you are helping people within the State of TN.

      Cons

      Lack of pay for the amount of work completed, as people retire or move on you get more and more work and no more pay. There is little room for advancement in the department I work in. When new employees are hired they are being paid more than seasoned employees.
