Great Place to Work

Pros

Flexible working hours, low management overhead, no 'hustle culture', reasonable deadlines. A great place to grow your career right out of college or if you have 2-3 years experience.

Cons

Somewhat understaffed or underresourced for certain projects. It can be frustrating at times having to sacrifice features or maintainability in favor of schedule. Management is great at being realistic about this tradeoff and doesn't blame engineers for having to make it, but it is still frustrating having to do a less thorough job for lack of resources. Currently there is not really any room to grow your career once you're a mid-senior engineer.

Exciting work

Pros

The Teradyne work culture fosters community; it's easy to connect with others and form meaningful relationships at the work place. This makes working together easier. Almost everyone who works here is extremely driven, skilled / talented and of a high caliber. While this can be intimidating, because of the tight-knit community, everyone is encouraging. This pushes you to be better, and brings out the best in you. Another big perk of working at Teradyne is undeniably the great work life balance. Recent Teradyne acquisitions in the industrial automation space, especially Universal Robots, Energid and MiR signal an exciting, positive outlook for the company's future.

Cons

The work culture can sometimes be conservative and risk averse, despite having an extremely skilled and talented workforce - which seems counter-intuitive. The workforce is aging, and retirements leave voids without adequate or timely transfer of the experience and the know-how.
