Pros

Teradyne the company with no doors. This is so true. There literally are no doors separating me from the vp of the company. This is extremely beneficial in being able to have open conversations in order to solve engineering problems. Additionally here is never a boring day around here. Every day presents a new challenge and something new to learn.

Cons

I don't have anything negative to say yet.

Pros

There are many different parts to Teradyne these days: the core semiconductor group; smaller board test, disk drive test, and mil/aero groups; recent acquisitions that operate autonomously; and some in-house startups. If you find the one that fits your style, working there can be a blast. Current employees get preference for openings in other groups.

Cons

The technical work is cutting edge but is so specialized that you can get stuck with skills that are difficult to transfer to another company. If you're above entry level there can be unexpected travel to other sites or other continents. Projects can be very long - years.
