Pros

Work load is not that heavy Friendly coworkers, environment Really good life/work balance Nice area, if you want to go for a walk next to ocean during lunch time!

Cons

No career growth Using old technologies, some resistance to change Too much politics instead of honest transparency Very low pay

Pros

No monitoring of schedule throughout the day so you can move about freely and tend to personal affairs as long as you meet your deadlines (for now since business is slow); great benefits at low cost (compared to other companies); very family oriented; HR tries hard to keep employees happy; private investors seem to have very, very, very deep pockets and just as much in patience which is why the company is still in business; very good as a stepping-stone job.

Cons

Low compensation - easier to access UFO spacecraft than a raise (at least from my own experience); hardly any new business; you will not learn any new skills valuable to your next job; obsolete technology (referring to technology that company was founded on); company almost 20 years old and still not public; no CFO or CEO to validate financials which questions company's commitment to go public as well as its long-term viability; managers assigning employees to projects not meaningful to company value (perhaps try to keep up appearances that the department is busy and look like they are valuable to the company); exodus of good talent due to management conflicts and/or low pay. - keep in mind that managers mean well and are mostly good-nature people; problem is they are not good managers. - Other reviews bragging about having a window office or how great the ball is rolling in the company is does not really focus upon the true importance of the company: it's long-term viability and/or current financial performance. Warning: It is a good job but do not stay too long or you will become overly complacent with eroding work ethic. To establish a true career, you need to move on. Those who have been there too long will probably not understand what hard work really entails.

Flexible small company with ad-hoc decissions

Cons

No strategy inline with global trends in market. Missing innovations since years. Poor willingness to enter into alliances.
