Pros

Company vehicle and gas card. Good benefits (medical, dental, vision) 401k w/ company matching. Paid vacation, sick and personal time off. "Almost"Recession proof industry (commercial branches) bonuses and incentives. Solid training and knowledgeable management (if you get the right managers) Seriously love my job and career field as a Commercial Technician!

Cons

Communication sucks at times but has improved. Long hours (not necessarily in a bad way) Hard to get time off during summer.

The job is very rewarding when the management team is on the same page.

Cons

The team morale and dynamic is fragile and can be directly affected by management.

Pros

Company vehicle, fuel card, and clean uniforms provided. Very cool people to work with, but you have to prove yourself in order to gain some respect within the office.

Cons

One of the biggest challenges is getting training and getting decent inbound leads. I'm almost sure most of the inbound leads go to the tenured reps within our branch. Also the appointment schedules don't make any sense, you end up driving all over the place zig zagging all across different counties. The hours during peak season are very long between 50-70 hours a week. When I was hired I was informed I would be working every other weekend. You literally have to remind your manager of this sticking point because nobody wants to work every weekend especially just to do inspections that don't lead to any sales. I also feel they need to revamp the whole call center lead generation system. Most of the leads are called creatives meaning they are current customers who may or may not want more of our services but already have 1 or 2 of our services which makes it very difficult to sell if you are brand new. The money is in the inbounds which they don't tell you when you get hired, these leads go to most of the seasoned vets so be forewarned. The payplan isn't the greatest, you don't make any commission until you hit $20,001 which really sucks if you work a long day and don't make any money.
