      Pros

      Good people work for Terracon and it has a good culture.

      Cons

      Very disorganized, tries to reinvent the wheel the wheel is perfectly fine. There's a bunch of chiefs and so ideas and view and approach gets so disorganized that it's nearly impossible to do your job. AND THERE ALWAYS HAS TO BE SOMEONE TO BLAME. No one can take credit for their mistakes.

      Not Enough Support for Too Much Work

      Get to work outdoors See many parts of California Exposed to/gain exp. in many parts of the industry very quickly

      Cons

      Extreme Outdoor work conditions (Summer months to include many 50-60+hr weeks in 100-110+ degree heat) Extremely long hours when including travel Last minute schedule changes The parts of California you see are the worst parts Very little support from management/PM's unless there is a problem Very little in-person training Homophobic, transphobic, and sexist comments/"jokes" are encountered regularly on the job from either other employees or subcontractors with whom you are expected to maintain good relations

      Great company to work for, the bosses back you up and show tremendous support. Wide variety of work to be performed.

      Cons

      Schedule varies widely with sites during the summer. not an ideal position for those with young children
