Long hours worked during the week and weekend

The company likes to call itself scrappy — running it like a startup. Unfortunately, this gives an excuse for business processes to be loosely implemented at the drop of a hat, and changed on a whim. It also leads to individuals with tenure to either gate keep information because ‘if I had to figure it out so should you’, or just gives them a superiority complex. The culture is not built on finding the best fit for the customer. There is an air of Tesla vs the customer, but also competition between employees to see who can stroke their boss’ ego the best. I was privileged enough to leave on my own terms and not via mass lay off, but I’d hate to be one of those tenured individuals who committed to a company who cut you because Elon needed budget for something else.
