Paid well and had some good people involved.

Cons

Director was a complete fraud, a real snake oil salesman who over-promised and under-delivered under the guise that "we're AGILE so it will work out". The FAA is far from agile, and product owners had no chance, as they were not representatives of the end users, the FAA. The planning was next to non-existent, and there were some horrible inter-personal practices in the workplace. To be fair, the aforementioned director is gone now, and the project is doing much better.

It was a good wage - even though location was remote.

Cons

Working as a third party contractor for the government was a nightmare. Computer access alone took 6 weeks. Tetra Tech does not care as much about those that are not within the corporate hub.

Pros

- Flexible about remote working especially during COVID. - Reliable VPN to work from home effectively. - Variety of projects to work on - No micromanagement - Well structured document production system with good quality control measures. - Lots of smart folks work at Tt all over the country; great respectful coworkers. - No formal annual review process (which can be a con, but I dislike reviews)

Cons

- Very limited time off with pay (TOWP) - 23 days - Only 5 National Holidays which are rolled into TOWP - Effectively no sick leave because it's all rolled into TOWP - Fend for yourself and find work when things are slow. - 100% billability rate - Do not provide overhead hours easily to fill your time period during slow times. May have to take TOWP to fill timesheet if 40 hours are not met.
