Flexible Schedule, Relatively Low Pay

Pros

We had a flexible schedule and I rarely needed to use vacation days for time off. I was able to travel all across the US on various projects, often to really neat places. The employees were all friendly and knowledgeable, and I still speak to many of them today.

Cons

Low pay compared to similar positions in the area. Job assignments were often dull and repetitive, with little variation.
