Pros

Used to be a very friendly, welcoming place...the kind of place an employee never wanted to leave. Fairly good growth opportunities and compensation and great work/life balance. If you can get in the right group/department it can be an excellent experience.

Cons

There have been some management changes over the past few years that are changing the work dynamic/environment - not necessarily for the best. Medical benefits are horrible compared to several other companies I have worked for but they try to compensate in other areas.

Pros

Such a fantastic internship program! Hours were 9am-4pm Mon-Thursday. We had at least one, and sometimes 2 "Lunch'n'Learns" with the bank's top managers each week. They taught us about their jobs, explained their daily routines, and expanded upon opportunities in that specific area of banking. Additionally, each week we had a field trip to a business that the bank supported. Examples include AT&T Stadium Private Tour, Federal Reserve Bank, iFly In-Door Skydiving, etc. All the interns became good friends very quickly. We participated in a annual, charitable community service project to raise money for Carver Elementary School. The whole bank participated and it was such a wonderful experience. Overall, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this internship and this company in general.

Cons

Sometimes there was a lack of work to do. There were days when I sat at my desk without an assignment, even when I proactively was looking for work to do. However, it is work for your manager to find tasks for their interns to do, so I completely understand why that is. That's just the way internships go! It's really not a true con. TCB is truly such a wonderful place to be!
