Pros

Partnerships with several universities, including TCU and UTA to help clinical staff pursue higher degrees. THR places great weight on leadership, stewardship, diversity, compassion and respect. We celebrate successes regularly. Senior leadership stay connected through a variety of avenues. Hospital-wide, the staff are encouraged to socialize as well as develop and learn about new opportunities or process changes. This is achieved through Town Halls, frequent training, committee work, emails, staff meetings, etc. to ensure an open avenue of communication throughout.

Cons

As in many hospital settings, some departments tend to remain in their own silos by the nature of their service line. The employee cafeteria food is horrible, unhealthy and pricey.

Pros

There is opportunity to learn. flexible time for some positions. They have great investment in technology. I enjoy working with most of the people I work with. This job is within close commute from my house.

Cons

Career path is not so clear or well defined. One could be in one positions indefinitely. Posting across department is not always based on merit but who you know. This is just my personal experience and does not mean this is done company-wide.
