Pros

Education, Education, Education. Also, they take things like harassment very, very seriously. They're up-front about pay increases (or lack thereof).

Cons

Location: Lubbock is fairly isolated, and although it is large it is nothing compared to the other major cities in Texas (Dallas/Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio, Houston).

Wonderful and supportive work environment! They want to see you succeed and want to help you progress in your career. Flexible work hours, I get to make my own schedule.

Cons

The pay is low and difficult for a Graduate student to live off of while finishing school. I am also an instructor for a class and it took the department a while to update my status.
