Pros

The main benefit is the work/pay ratio. As a community advisor (CA) you will have meetings ~2 hours per week, 6 hours of office duty, and ~1 hour dealing with events. Additionally we were give "collaterals" which is just extra work. This was an extra assignment that we had to do that could take anywhere from ~2 hours per month to 3 hours per week depending on what you got.

Cons

The training is terrible. Fall training takes a week, around 10-12 hours per day. Spring training which teaches you the same information takes ~4 days and 10-12 hours per day. During this time you will have other assignments that have to be completed that are very time intensive so its an inconvenient thing. Worse yet is that you have to go to training every semester rather you are a new hire or have been there for 4 years.
