Pros

Excellent work environment! You are encouraged to grow as a staff member and as an individual. You have opportunities to conduct research, go to conferences, and collaborate across campus.

Cons

The pay isn't as good as it could be. With a Master's Degree, I was only making $37,000. The benefits aren't great either - ultimately you only have one option for health insurance.

Pros

Flexible schedule, good environment, lots of opportunities. While working they will pay for you to take one class a semester free so excellent opportunity to continue education.

Cons

Pay is less than larger institutions though this is largely not a problem due to low cost of living in this area. If you are accustomed to larger cities with constant activities you maybe disappointed as Lubbock doesn't have the same amount of constant stuff.

Pros

Right by campus if you are a student and they work around your class schedule.

Cons

The pay isn't as good as you would get at a private employer.
