Pros

Employment is sure and steady. Raises are possible and achievable. TWC prefers to promote internally when possible.

Cons

TWC is often 5 years behind whatever the current issue may be and progress is slow. Pay is below state government average.

Very disorganized, no raises

Pros

Health insurance, retirement plan, telecommuting

Cons

Constant reorganization, it's hard to keep up with who's on what team and what each team is responsible for. Projects seem to always be very disorganized and running behind schedule. And the reward for being a high performer is just more work. Despite getting good performance reviews, I've had only one merit increase in 7.5 years. Sometimes there's a one-time merit payment, which is better than the nothing I got this year. Despite working many extra hours and being incredibly productive, and getting an "Exceptional" (5/5) performance review, nothing is what I got this year.
