Pros

- Great access to senior leadership. - Once out of the program LDPs are typically more likely to be promoted than their peers.

Cons

- HR does not know the difference between Finance and Accounting. If you want to work strictly in Finance, avoid this program as they may just place you in an accounting role that they cannot fill and tell you it’s “good experience”. They give you the impression that you have control over your role choice but this is untrue. - Other employees typically have preconceived feelings about LDPs and may be unhappy to have you on their team.

Pros

Reasonable pay, benefits, and growth opportunities. A pro/con depending on how you look at it for LDP is moving around 2-3 times in a little over 2 years.

Cons

Not a particularly progressive company in terms of flexible work options (during COVID, the business unit I was at mandated 100% back in office during a big national spike in cases, and only reeled it back when a senior leadership member got sick + company cases went up).
