Pros
Great benefits and a lot of different jobs you may be able to move to. The education assistance is a pretty good program as well. I feel like I have a lot more freedoms in this position that I would not have at other companies. You will get a lot of hands-on experience.
Cons
Not a lot of growth or learning opportunities, many people leave for that reason. I have noticed that other companies will give training or certifications that are standardized in engineering, but Textron does not offer any of that. The pay is also particularly low for this position considering how much managing you need to do on a daily basis. Layoffs happen at every company, but there have been two large layoffs within 6 months. It definitely lowers morale and keeps employees guessing. I have witnessed and experienced being yelled at in large and small meetings as an intimidation tactic, so culture itself is not all that great. Lots of tension sometimes.
