      Used to be a great company

      Pros

      Interesting work in RF and unmanned aircraft. Decent benefits although not nearly as good retirement benefits as before corporate takeover (now is it is part of Textron Systems).

      Cons

      Toxic environment. They have resorted to firing people on trumped up charges rather than doing a RIF - that way they don't have to pay severance. It used to be me more of a meritocracy based on competence/performance. Now obedience is more important.

      Run away screaming

      Pros

      The location is good. It has potential to do well due to the type of work. They promote young professionals, which could be a good thing or a bad thing.

      Cons

      Lots of distrust and back stabbing. Constant reorganization. No solid direction. Most engineers are good, but the PM and Management level starts to play politics at the engineers' peril. Benefits are sub-average. Communication is terrible.

      It was a job but it wasn't going to help me in my career

      What a joke of a company! Will lie to customers to get orders with no intention of fulfilling them under the terms of the order. Places "ability to read people" above setting strategy and tactics to fulfill a vision. My leader was more willing to listen to the rumor mill than data and facts, and when presented with data would say she couldn't believe her friends would like to her since she knew them for 34 years. She had no vision, no strategy, no goals.... as an executive she wouldnt have made it at a real defense company. Her only success was being tight with the boys network, all of which was disfunctional.
