Textron reviews about "pay"

This company was unlike any other I have encountered. I received no training after being hired for a job I was not qualified for. I was expected to perform at a level I had no hope of reaching, and not one person (management included) was able to help me, even after begging and begging. Basically, besides decent pay and kind of decent hours, I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you enjoy living in stress, being looked down on, and being dismissed. If you want to be good at your job, don't work here. The company is a political circus. Not only does management think you are disposable, but they will also tell you to your face.

Time away from home and work conditions

Not a lot of growth or learning opportunities, many people leave for that reason. I have noticed that other companies will give training or certifications that are standardized in engineering, but Textron does not offer any of that. The pay is also particularly low for this position considering how much managing you need to do on a daily basis. Layoffs happen at every company, but there have been two large layoffs within 6 months. It definitely lowers morale and keeps employees guessing. I have witnessed and experienced being yelled at in large and small meetings as an intimidation tactic, so culture itself is not all that great. Lots of tension sometimes.
