So glad I made a change

Pros

Upper Management is communicative and transparent, they desire feedback and then do something with the response. The expectation and workload are challenging but not unmanageable. There is an open door policy no matter whose door you knock on. The President & CEO, walked over to thank my colleague for issuing a certificate in an expedient timeframe, after the encounter she said “I had no idea he even knew my name”. People need to know they are valuable to an organization, the Insgroup team is doing an amazing job relaying that to one another. I have felt cared about as a person during my employment, less than six weeks into my tenure, having emergency surgery, I was allowed to work from home for over a month. The expectation is, as you grow as a company, upper management becomes less accessible and less involved, NOT the case at here. In your career track nothing is as important as potential, which is plentiful here at Insgroup.

Cons

Galleria traffic. I'd like to work from home three days a week under normal circumstances.

Pros

I have been at Insgroup for a little over 2 years and in the insurance industry just shy of forty years. Never before have I worked at a firm that places equally high value on their employees as they do their clients. There is a well balanced mix of hard work and fun throughout the work weeks. Access to top carriers and markets along with having access to top of the line technology provides the tools required for peak performance at your job. Client retention is high across all departments at Insgroup. Top management is hands on here. It is a culture focused on everyone here matters. It is great to wake up and be happy you get to go to work that day!

Cons

Only one - Galleria area traffic!

Pros

The intentional effort to make employees feel appreciated, feel part of a team and have a path to success has been a blessing to see and experience. If there is a tool or technology that makes work more efficient, INSGROUP is interested. This pro-technology attitude made them very prepared for 2020 Covid-19 quarantine, allowing all staff to work from home and not miss a beat. New ideas are encouraged and education is heavily supported. There is no feeling of MANAGER/employee, as everyone from left to right just works together to make it happen and we all succeed as a result. Having a family, I really appreciate the generous benefit package. Over all, being 2 years into it, I couldn't ask for a better situation and consider it a blessing to be here.

Cons

My personal choice is to live near the water, so the commute can be tough at times. A lot of people choose to have flex days or work from home days (yes, that is an option) so it helps with life balance.
