Pros

I have had the privilege of working for the Bay Club since 2003 starting as a Social Director at our Santa Clara Club. Over the course of my 15 year career, the Bay Club has provided me the opportunity for significant career growth all the way to the executive team. The company does well at providing ongoing staff development and career growth opportunities. The Bay Club company is a growth company and the executive team does a very good job explaining our play book and everyone's roll in executing it.

Cons

The Bay Club culture may not be the right fit for everyone. We call it a late stage start-up so the intensity level is reflective of what you would expect in a start up situation. It is a great environment for people who enjoy challenge and hard work.

Pros

Great team. High energy environment. Lots of collaboration and working together to innovate and build out a great member experience

Cons

I don't see it as a 'con', but it's not for everyone. The work environment is intense and moves quickly. Expectations are high across the board, and the hours can be long -- dictated by whatever it takes to get the job done. The upside is that the work being done is easy to buy into and find motivation in.

Pros

Great company to work for with lots of opportunities for career advancement. Senior leaders foster a culture of hard work and owning your space to help contribute to the success of the overall company. You'll be held accountable and asked to work hard. Sales in this company is gritty, exciting, and digs into that inner athlete mentality. Overall this is a fun company to work for, we work hard to create an experience for our members that is unparalleled, exciting to be a part of something like that.

Cons

Work life balance will be tested. Membership sales in general will be stressful, but you control your own destiny with how much effort you put in.
