      Pros

      Cutting-edge science, good resources, newest technology, nice location, new facilities.

      Cons

      I worked in a small group. Honestly, I (along with other colleagues) never felt like our PI cared about us as people, and was only interested in finding out how much progress we had made with our work, and how fast. Additionally, there were some truly volatile characters working within my group, making it so that the interest and motivation I found in my scientific work was no longer worth the toxic work environment.

      Pros

      Lots of fantastic people to work with, great environment, pretty decent benefits, good work/life balance. Broad is willing to hire less experienced employees, so this may be a great place to start your career.

      Cons

      Admin staff is secondary to scientists and you will be constantly reminded of it. The salaries are noticeably lower than industry average. Admin career paths are somewhat limited and when you chose to leave Broad - you would discover that nobody really knows what Broad is outside of research community.
