Pros

Great salary and benefits, as well as professional environment.

Cons

It can get repetitive doing story after story about the same company for months, if not years. It's not journalism in the classic sense of business journalism, even though it's covering business, markets, and regulations.

Pros

The Capitol Forum provides a rare opportunity for young journalists to immediately dive into investigative projects. For more veteran reporters, it's a chance to work independently on influential stories while also mentoring.

Cons

None that I can think of. It's been an oasis in a very challenging industry. Unlike other publications, it's financially stable and will be around for the long run.

Pros

Some of the work is cool, but the lack of bylines devalues it. Drink the Kool-Aid and you’ll succeed at The Capitol Forum.

Cons

Stay far away from this company, especially if you’re a woman. I’m afraid to say more out of fear of retaliation.
