Cliquish culture - most employees have been there their entire career and have long histories together. This makes it hard for newer employees to feel included. Additionally, their in-bred culture gives them limited insight into the marketplace and different ways of doing things. Their culture is highly supportive of their associates but this makes it hard to recognize top performers. Employees seem reluctant to ask tough questions or offer up new or different ideas.
