Pros

They have truly removed all the pros.

Cons

First off, the company seems to be attempting to drown out the bad reviews they received when they made the horrible decision to return to office. As if the return to office wasn’t restrictive enough, now that we are back in office they have added further restrictions, thus making work life balance non existent. I have now been told we are unable to work from home to accommodate any appointments, and we are being asked to no longer make appointments unless it is on our designated work from home day, no flexibility allotted, no switching your work from home day (which is chosen by management, we get no say.) Additionally, they still pay SIGNIFICANTLY lower than literally any other insurance company you’ll find, on top of having less flexibility and work life balance. They’re quickly hemorrhaging all their tenured employees and new talent isn’t staying long after seeing past the smoke and mirrors. Save yourself, apply at any other insurance company. The new ceo himself said “if you don’t like it, there’s the door”, I’m on my way out, don’t you worry Steve!

Pros

Stock options, a good bonus every other year.

Cons

They love to preach the Golden Rule, but don't practice it. I have never been treated as disrespectfully as I was with this company. If you want to be underpaid, grossly overworked, disrespected and treated like you are stupid, then by all means go to work for this company.

Pros

Stable company Ethical culture Strong embrace of learning and professional development Friendly coworkers Work/life balance Excellent benefits Nice office building with great cafeteria

Cons

-Still a fairly old school management regime although things are changing for the better over time. It really depends on what department you are in -Base comp tends to be below market. The bonus can more than offset this, but is highly dependent on the company’s performance -Some departments are highly siloed and don’t play nicely with others, to the detriment of the company as a whole -If in HQ, Fairfield is either a pro or a con - definitely less dynamic area compared to downtown Cincinnati (where some of the other insurance carriers in the city are based)
