Pros

* The Clare is an upscale retirement community located in the heart of downtown Chicago. The residents that live at The Clare are amazing. They have lived lives only we can dream; having traveled all over the world, starting companies, fashion designers, movie stars. It's wonderful to hear their stories. * The location is spot on, a stones throw from the Magnificent Mile, tons of shops and restaurants steps from the door. *The employees that work at The Clare are just as amazing as the residents who live there.

Cons

*The pay could be more competitive. *The work environment can be extremely hostile. Employees tend to wear many hats, more than the job description. Senior employees tend to pass off work to hourly employees. *Hard work is not appreciated. Not asking for reassurance everyday, after every project but it would be nice to be recognized for the day to day work. *Management needs to be more engaging to hourly employees. More team building / outings. *More opportunities for growth. HR department is stale and inventive with referral programs or growth opportunities.

Pros

Tuition reimbursement is the most here that I’ve ever seen at a company. Also they provide bonuses, appreciation gifts, and lunch every day.

Cons

Pay is less than pay at hospitals.

Thank you for taking the time to share such thoughtful feedback. We’re thrilled to hear that you’ve found The Clare to be a rewarding place to grow your nursing career. Our leadership team, supportive environment, and focus on resident‑centered care are all core to who we are, and it’s wonderful to see that reflected in your experience. We also appreciate your note about the pace and acuity level. While our structured, long‑term care setting offers stability and meaningful resident relationships, we understand that some nurses seek higher‑acuity or fast‑paced clinical environments. We are committed to providing ongoing opportunities for professional development and skill-building within our care model. Thank you again for your dedication to our residents and for being part of our team at The Clare. We’re grateful for the positive impact you make every day.
