Pros

Honestly *some* of the coworkers are great, but if you end up on one person’s bad side, suddenly the entire market and company will know about it.

Cons

Pay, you are expected to lay your life down at the feet of the company, management will call you, text you, email you, or by any means contact you even on your days “off” due to lack of poor planning and understaffing issues. There were multiple times I was called in to work 6-7 days a week spanning at least 10 hours a day with no break. Oh, and then would get yelled at due to the overtime but was threatened by managers that I couldn’t leave at my time off.

Our goal is to create a performance-driven culture where hard work is recognized and rewarded, but also one where teamwork and accountability drive success. We set high expectations, but we also expect our leaders to support their teams in meeting them. If you have specific concerns, we encourage you to reach out so we can address them directly.

Pros

If you are a recent college grad, The Connor Group is a great place to work. I wanted a company where I could get exposure to many areas and learn fast which I have received. Due to the private equity structure and managing of investor funds, there are big targets and deadlines to hit. As a result, it is a hard working culture, and associates are highly rewarded. Definitely recommended for go-getters and driven individuals.

Cons

You will work 50+ hours a week. Most people work 8-6 each day with some overtime. This is not an issue for someone like myself who is fresh in my career, but I can see how it could be a lot for someone with a family.

Pros

Performance is critiqued based on facts, there is continuous room for growth, and you are constantly surrounded by motivated people (coworkers/managers) who are there to help each other succeed.

Cons

If you do not do well with blunt/direct communication- this may not be the place for you.
