Sights are beautiful and you get to see a lot of the country. Meet a lot of interesting people

Too much downtime, high truck payments even during unpaid downtime. Little to no hometime

Family owned and if you're in ops they give you free stuff - it doesn't always help the high turnover rate.

Cons

The environment is toxic! People that shouldn't be managers are promoted for knowing the right people. Some managers are worthless/uninvolved that new hires don't even know who their supervisor is until 2 weeks after coming into work. Employees don't treat each other well and it trickles down to not treating drivers well on the phone.
