      Highly dysfunctional and cheap management with no imagination or innovation.

      Pros

      Long standing company with good track record of science based tree care. Strong team effort in the field crew. Knowledgeable and eager arborists that provide good service and customer relations with little help from management.

      Cons

      Poorly maintained equipment. Safety is second to profit. Old ropes pulled from retirement and reused as climbing lines so management can save a few bucks. No effort from management to personally engage team. Sales reps with no goals.

      Good for entry level positions, bad for a long term career

      Pros

      Stable company, great entry level positions, great coworkers, transfer within company service lines is easy

      Cons

      This is a stepping stone company. Come in entry level, get experience, then find a career with a better outlook. Most employees are over worked, salaries are not competitive, poor teamwork environment, not an innovative company, poor leadership all the way up to the VP. Vacation and sick policy is below average. Don't believe the company stock sales pitch. You won't get paid enough to buy much or make significant 401k contributions.

      Decent pay, Overtime, traveling, per diem after 6hrs of working.

      Cons

      Informed last minute about project changes; many times I got 2 days notice that I had to pack up all my things and move to another city. Crew-Supervisor was only such because everyone else left before their second year
