Great Introduction to the World of Clinical Trials Research

Pros

The company is very concerned with the happiness of the employee. They strongly encourage a work-life balance and are very flexible/accommodating to changing circumstances. There is a strong sense of camaraderie amongst the employees with healthy social and professional relationships. The company is making a conscious effort to respond to employee feedback. Increased job advancement opportunities. Professional development opportunities. Very thorough orientation process that introduces you to clinical trials, regulation, CROs.

Cons

Salary increase structure. Should be allowed to work overtime for extensive projects.

Excellent introduction to clinical trials

Pros

The data manager/protocol monitor position offers the opportunity to learn some basic programming and provides lots of experience working with the clinical sites. From what I've seen EMMEs is very accepting of employees that need to telecommute (either a few days a week or even full time).

Cons

Parts of the job are undeniably tedious, and I have a high tolerance for tedium. The management of my team is pretty excellent, but I've heard this varies across projects.
