Pros

Fun staff, exciting job before the pandemic

Cons

Impossible to get a raise, so demand high start salary. Company is built like a frat house- the upper management and corporate structure is immature- company doesn’t solve its issues, just has a happy hour or cocktail event with management to try and make up for bad working conditions. Corporate Chef doesn’t listen to any suggestions and barely provides direction. Company puts workers at risk during Covid- no precautions taken to ensure safety of employees.

Pros

Don't get me wrong, this place has great food and most of the people who work there are really nice.

Cons

As someone who used to work there, I can firmly state that management was not so great and nice. Specifically the coffee shop management. Ruled like a tyrant on a quest to make her employees want to tear their skin off, my manager was rude and could care less about me and the well being of her employees. I can't tell you how many times I have honestly cried leaving work. She hadn't said ONE nice thing to me in all the time that I was there. I wasn't lazy, I worked hard and did what I was told, but sometimes I made mistakes (you know, like humans do now and then) but fret not, readers! My manager made it CLEAR that mistakes were never okay. I don't know what is going on in her home life to make her act like that, but she shouldn't bring it to work, and if she must, she DEFINITELY shouldn't take it out on others, especially the people she should be managing. If you want to stay an hour after your shift ends and you enjoy negative reinforcement exclusively and the inability to make mistakes while you single-handedly navigate and make orders from three or four different sources (counter, window, online orders, and restaurant orders), then PLEASE apply to work here.
