Pros
*Fairly relaxed atmosphere *Good conflict resolution between employees *Write-ups only count as fireable three strikes if they are for the same issue (i.e., if you are written up three times for being late you will be fired, but if you are written up once for being late, once for skipping closing tasks, and once for failing to ring in your food, you will not be fired.) *Extremely cohesive team-building, your coworkers feel like your family, frequently spending time together outside of work, and staff are encouraged to come to store events and enjoy themselves.
Cons
*Management is openly inexperienced and fails consistently at basic management tasks including safety (open containers of chemicals next to food, dish machine regularly catches on fire, no PPE for handling hazardous tasks, constantly running out of necessary cleaning/maintenance supplies and forcing staff to "make do" in dangerous and unapproved ways or risk being written up) and scheduling (disregarding the availability sheets all employees fill out when hired, threatening write ups if employees don't come in or find someone to cover shifts that they are unable to work due to second jobs and family obligations, verbally approving requests off well in advance and then scheduling anyway). *While it is nearly impossible to be fired for anything short of stealing or no-call no-shows three times in a row, if management wants you gone they will drop you down to one four hour shift a week in an attempt to force you to quit, take you off the schedule entirely while still claiming that you're employed and the situation is temporary (it isn't), or straight up hand you an application to a different area restaurant. *Bringing up issues with management tends to result in passive aggressive punishment in the form of hours being cut and set schedules being changed out of nowhere. *Promises made at the time of hire are rarely, if ever kept.
