Pros

The local store manager are engaged and provide good leadership. The LMS training is engaging and thorough. Good health insurance.

Cons

The company’s focus changed about 5 months ago. Instead of greeting customers and providing arch support solutions based on the customer’s NEED, the focus changed to, “getting them into a seat immediately.” Consultants were chastised for saying, “How can I help” before moving the guest into a chair. Salespeople are penalized for only selling shoes or socks- even when the customer isn’t interested in supports. Corporate has instituted a highly-competitive work environment, which isn’t healthy. Only those with the highest volume get “ups” for the next day, regardless of the reason. I received a perfect “shop” evaluation, but was still criticized by the district manager for things outside of my control. I received multiple positive comments in Google and Yelp reviews, Nothing was ever mentioned about going “above and beyond.” Instead of taking care of the customers, the priority is now about getting the customer’s contact information into SalesForce first.

Pros

Large commission cap allowing for a large earning potential if you are exceptional at your job.

Cons

This company only hires fulltime employees and emphasis a culture that they care about their employees. When it comes down to it, their actions are clear they don't care about anything about the money. They re very quick to fire new employees and do not allow time for training. I saw great people who get fired without notice for having a bad sales week. As an employee you were treated as a pawn and if you asked questions around training, you would also be pushed to be terminated for not "understanding" the material quick enough. In several cases, I saw them give employees less than 30 days to learn about the products.

Pros

They've got a great product and a pitch that sells itself. It's really easy work and free lunches are on Saturdays. A lot of things to like about it.

Cons

Don't believe the hype about advancement opportunities if that's pitched to you. Most customers are going to be in sticker shock but a lot of them know they have to take care of their feet. Its up to you to help them get there. Be prepared for some awkwardness.
