Maybe, for once, employees should be considered.

Pros

Great insurance plan. Great providers. Lots of opportunity and patient centered-ness.

Cons

It seems like Guthrie tends to forget the "little man." This includes anyone who isn't a mid-level or a provider and non-management staff. Parking isn't ideal for Sayre campus, but that's within reason as its relatively small compared to its output. However, blocking off an entire parking lot just for mid-levels to use a minimal percentage of isn't seeing the big picture. Even some management is forgotten it seems.

Pros

I’ve been working at Guthrie for over a decade. I feel Guthrie is the health care leader in the region and it gives me a sense of pride to work for a place that puts the patient first. Although I am not in a position of direct patient care, I do feel everyone strives to make what they do be a difference to each patient.

Cons

The workload and expectations in my department are at a very high level, and can be overwhelming at times, but I wouldn’t want it any other way, as I feel we need to perform at our best. That being said, I do feel adding additional staff would be a plus.

Pros

Guthrie is authentic in its commitment to its patients, staff, and community. The company is building a culture where all are encouraged to bubble up feedback and suggestions to improve the way we do business. Opportunity to grow within the organization is there if you work for it. The salary is competitive, and the benefits are fair. I have had the opportunity to work in various departments and can honestly say that the teams I have been part of here have made me feel more connected to the organization than any other place I have worked.

Cons

Parking in Sayre is terrible. The organization has difficulty attracting talent to fill critical gaps from outside of the area...likely the area not the company.
