Pros

I started working for The HOTH around 2010 and I have stayed with them for very long due to the flexible work schedule, and pay is on time.

Cons

With the influx of writers, got fewer writing assignments.

Fun Culture / Benefits Need Work

Pros

Extremely fun, collaborative and driven team environment. Everyone is eager to help you, talk to you, and get to know you. The people there are really incredible. I've never worked with a team I've loved as much as The HOTH team.

Cons

The HOTH is a bit behind the curve with benefits. They do not offer a lot of PTO, so it can be a challenge to really recharge and take a meaningful break. They offer health and vision insurance but not dental insurance. We get $50 wellness stipends but honestly I'd rather have more PTO than $50 bucks/month for wellness.

Everything was online Work schedule Pay on time

Cons

Their point system for writers is sketchy. I got fired and the reasons they gave of what I did wrong was proven I didn't actually do it wrong. I asked if I could have an online meeting or phone call to discuss what the mistakes I made were. They refused. And just ignored anytime I tried to communicate with them. Poor business practices to train writers and then dispose of them after a month. When I went over the rubics in the handbook my points were actually no where near fireable. They need higher ups that train and actually care about their employees that they communicate and not just in emails.
