A terrible environment for children and teachers

It kept me employed and taught me what not to do.

Cons

The classrooms are packed with children, the children with special needs are not addressed, imaginative play is forgotten for a strict curriculum for THREE YEAR OLDs. It has been several years since I worked here, I have now completed two degrees and have used this experience to fuel my passion for early childhood mental health consultation. This place works its teachers into the ground, and pushes curriculum and structure on children who are not ready for it. Saw a LOT of negative punishment instead of positive reinforcement.

Pros

TLE is a great place to work for if you have no education experience or degree but you love working with children. It’s a higher end daycare that focuses on educating the children ages 0-school age.

Cons

Since you are working with children, there is a lot of liability factors involved. TLE has there own rules/protocols on top of the State’s regulations. It can be stressful having to follow and keep up with all of the protocols.
