Pros

This role at other nonprofits (including universities) would have to really worry about grant writing, but so far at least there has been none of that. Generally good work/life balance (especially compared to other employers) and willing to talk about what employees need.

Cons

Wants to be horizontal, but has a vertical history and sometimes this creates slowness in decision-making.

Best place to work at

Pros

Its the most inspiring, kindest, competent, supportive place to work at. They know where there areas of growth are and are looking to improve. So much opportunity to learn and grow. I left and came back, and don't plan on leaving.

Cons

Regional units are siloed, disconnect between regional and global teams. There could be more diversity and leadership profiles, but they are actively recruiting more POC and women in leadership roles.
