Pros

Mission-driven organization with smart, passionate people. Excellent onboarding. Many employees have a long tenure within the organization.

Cons

Could be more diverse. Retirement matching starts too long after start date (1 year). Medical benefits could start immediately (not after a month).

Thank you for your review! We’re so fortunate to have people who are passionate about our mission. It’s so great to hear that you had a welcoming onboarding experience. We appreciate your feedback on key features of our 401(k) plan. Our plan includes up to 8% dollar for dollar matching per pay period after 1 year of service, posted to your account each payday, and the match vests after 3 years of service with TNC. As well our healthcare plan starts the first of the month after 1 month of service. We do watch trends in the market for our benefits package and keep an eye out for trends when it comes to healthcare eligibility and 401(k) match waiting periods.

Pros

Amazing location to work in.

Cons

Management is overworked and understaffed. They are all overwhelmed and unable to preform all their job duties for supporting the remote research station. They are all constantly in reaction mode and unable to plan ahead.

I'm so sorry to hear that your experiences have not matched up to what you may have expected. We certainly do not want our staff to feel overwhelmed and able to perform their job duties - that's not an environment conducive to innovation! I encourage you to talk to your HRBP if you feel your department is understaffed. At a very minimum, they can offer resources and support in re-prioritizing your primary job duties.
