Pros

By-and-large surrounded by good people doing good things for a good cause. There is occasionally a myopic Type-A leader who runs amock, but the rank-and-file pulls together and focuses on getting things done.

Cons

The Conservancy is big (massive) so it takes a while for the gears of the bureaucracy to grind. That said, the benefits of an enterprise (excellent benefits, good work/life balance, diverse array of work projects) far outweigh the drawbacks.

Pros

Smart, dedicated professionals engaged in work they truly believe in. Very inspiring place to work.

Cons

Management ia a bit top-heavy with too many disparate interests trying to vie for primacy. Organization is unwieldy and unfocused when it has too many objectives it's trying to achieve at the same time.
