Pros

Colleagues are intelligent, truly dedicated to conservation, and most are strong collaborators. Salaries are competitive. Strong work-life balance with Nature Fridays (off every Friday).

Cons

Leadership is hit or miss. Some managers lack basic core competencies, and professional development only happens if you are well-liked by the hiring manager. Lots of microaggressions. Some colleagues have been there for many years (10+), but they really seem to be coasting in their careers. This could be a pro because it's a great workplace to work until retirement, but it does give old guard.

Pros

There are so many cool opportunities to be outdoors even if your job is not directly involved with field work. The people are super cool and nice. Great pro discounts to outdoorsy websites. Can opt into a 35 hour work week with either every other Friday off or half day Fridays.

Cons

SO. MANY. MEETINGS! Lots and lots of online meetings.

Pros

Technically strong, passionate scientists and conservationists who are experts in their fields.
